Solar and battery warranties: who is responsible when something fails?

Separate product warranty, workmanship, monitoring, service attendance and the evidence needed for support.

There is more than one warranty

Panels, inverters, batteries, mounting products and workmanship can have different providers, terms, exclusions and claim processes.

Monitoring is not the same as maintenance

An app can show a fault, but responsibility for alert review, diagnosis, attendance and warranty administration must be stated in the proposal or service agreement.

Keep the handover record

Retain serials, compliance documents, design drawings, commissioning results, network approvals, warranties and access credentials. They reduce friction when support is needed.
