BEFORE YOU DECIDE
There is no responsible generic answer. It depends on duty cycle, tariff, demand windows, cycles, degradation, controls, installed scope and stackable value.
Some eligible small-scale battery installations may qualify, but capacity, SRES limits and site architecture must be checked. Large C&I systems are not assumed eligible.
Connection, electrical, fire, planning, civil, structural and operational requirements vary materially with scale and site.
QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
It may reduce some demand charges where the peak is detectable and the battery has enough power and stored energy at the right time. It should not be promised before interval-data analysis.
Nexen assesses C&I and larger storage pathways project by project, with named engineering, delivery, controls and service responsibilities in the proposal.
Provide recent bills, interval data, a single-line diagram if available, site plans, operating hours, outage sensitivity and planned loads. Nexen will confirm whether a paid or preliminary feasibility stage is appropriate.
