Battery sizing: usable energy, power and cycles
Why kWh alone does not define the right home or business battery.
Energy and power are different
kWh is stored energy; kW is how quickly the battery can deliver it. Backup loads and high-power appliances can make the power limit more important than headline capacity.
Size around a duty cycle
A home battery may target evening self-use and backup reserve. A business battery may target peaks, tariffs or resilience. Each use creates a different daily cycle and control strategy.
Check the complete platform
Controller, battery modules, gateway, metering, phase, backup circuits, firmware and warranty conditions must work as one supported architecture.
